Our Mission

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unexpected and devastating losses to families around the world, including those close to us. Among all, a young friend of us lost his father to the virus, leaving the family without any knowledge of his financial affairs. As the sole bread earner, this left them in a precarious situation. Fortunately, we were able to help them navigate their financials and hand over the necessary information in time. However, this experience highlighted a larger issue - the lack of financial organisation and communication within families. Many of us do not keep track of our assets and liabilities in a central location or inform our loved ones of their whereabouts. Additionally, few of us are aware of the processes for retrieving unclaimed funds that may be owed to us. A little research showed us that there is an alarming amount of unclaimed money lying in banks and other Institutes, and this amount grows every year at a healthy rate. It is heartbreaking to think that many families struggle to make ends meet while their rightful money sits unclaimed. That's why we created OICONOMOS, an initiative aimed at helping everyone stay organized with their personal finances and ensuring that no family is deprived of their rightful funds.That's our motivation, that's our story.
